Making It Yours: Templates, Branding, and Your Exercise Library

Your clients are on the platform. Workouts are being logged. You're reviewing sessions and leaving feedback. The basics are working.

Now it's time to stop using off-the-shelf and start making it yours.

This post covers three things that take your account from "I'm using a tool" to "this is my coaching platform." None of them are urgent — your clients won't notice if you do them today or next month. But they'll make your life easier and your business look more professional.

## Save Your Programmes as Templates

You've probably built or customised a few programmes by now. Every time you create a new client programme from scratch, you're doing work you've already done before.

**Templates fix that.**

Any programme you've created can be saved as a template. Next time you onboard a client, instead of building from scratch, you pick a template, give it a name, and it's done. All the workouts, exercises, sets, and reps — duplicated in seconds.

To create a template, go to **Manage Templates** from your dashboard. You can:

- **Create a new template from scratch** — build it once, use it forever
- **Duplicate an existing programme as a template** — if you've already got a client programme that works well, turn it into a reusable starting point

Think about the programmes you write most often. A general strength block. A hypertrophy phase. A beginner programme. An athletic performance cycle. Save each of these as a template and you'll never write the same programme twice.

**The real time-saver**: when you bulk import new clients (or add them individually), you can assign a template-based programme as part of their onboarding. Client signs up, programme's already there.

## Add Your Branding

This takes 5 minutes and makes a noticeable difference to how professional your account looks.

Go to your account settings and upload:

- **Your logo** — appears in the navigation and on your client-facing pages
- **A banner image** — shows at the top of your profile

That's it. Your clients will see your brand when they log in, not a generic platform. It's a small thing, but it reinforces that this is YOUR coaching service, not just "an app."

If you don't have a logo yet, don't let that stop you. A clean text-based logo from Canva takes 10 minutes. Or skip it for now and come back later — your clients care more about their programme than your colour scheme.

## Build Your Exercise Library

The platform comes with a full exercise library — hundreds of exercises with descriptions, covering all the standard movements. For most coaches, this is enough to get going.

But if you coach anything specialised, you'll want to add your own.

From the **Exercises** section, you can:

- **Browse the existing library** — search by name, filter by type
- **Create custom exercises** — add your own with descriptions, videos, and YouTube links
- **Use both** — your programmes can mix library exercises with custom ones

**When to add custom exercises:**

- You use specific exercise names your clients know ("Tom's warm-up complex")
- You coach sport-specific movements not in the standard library
- You want to attach your own demonstration videos

**When not to bother:**

- The library already has the exercise under a standard name. You don't need to recreate "Barbell Back Squat" — it's already there. Use the library version and save yourself the admin.

## The Order I'd Recommend

If you're going to do all three, here's the order that makes the most sense:

1. **Templates first** — this saves you the most time going forward. Every new client onboard becomes faster.
2. **Branding second** — quick win, makes everything look polished.
3. **Exercise library last** — only add custom exercises as you need them. Don't try to build an exhaustive library upfront.

## You're Set

If you've followed this series from the beginning, you've gone from "just signed up" to running your coaching business on the platform:

- You saw it working in 30 minutes
- You piloted with 3 clients
- You moved everyone over with a bulk import
- You're reviewing sessions and giving feedback daily
- And now you've made it your own

That's the full transition. No big-bang switch. No weekend of setup. Just a steady, low-risk move from wherever you were before to a platform that does the heavy lifting for you.

If you've got questions or want to talk through anything, reply to any of my emails or visit our knowledge base. I'm always happy to help.
